I usually don’t get such a large container, but the price was right and I wanted to give it a try. I was hoping for a special twist top that allowed the product to come out a little nicer, but the top is the typical foil that you have to tear open. I personally cut a tiny little triangle to let just enough of the flakes out.
The flakes are very large, so I usually crunch them up in my hand before feeding to the fish because they tend to eat it faster and there’s less waste when the flakes are smaller. The fish do like this product and they gobble it up, so I will be ordering more…in 5 years when I run out, lol.

This is 100% a great value for the money and I recommend it, but I didn’t exactly realize what I ordered either until it got here and would like to clarify some details.
This is a HUGE container of fish food, not a standard spice shaker sized thing, wide as a drink coaster and tall as a pencil. However the flakes are huge as well which I was not expecting, I thought these were mostly smaller/crushed flakes for small tropical fish like guppies, neon tetras etc.
What I did was dump all the food into a big ziplock, put it on the counter, and used my fist to crush the flakes into smaller pieces my fish can eat. Worked great but does require extra steps, included a picture of my end result.
