This is what we feed our cavy “guinea pig” and they just squeak away. It was recommended by the breeder they came from and it seems to keep them happy and healthy. Yes, they are show cavy. That’s a really thing. I would recommend this food to everyone, I teach a cavy project in 4H and recommended it to my students.

Really good clean pellets, but for the size of the bag a bit expensive to be honest.

This pellet brand has been my go to for years now. I’ve never had any issue with it’s quality and my pigs love the stuff. I tried to phase in a different brand that was a ten dollars difference at the time of writing this, but it wasn’t really a hit. I’d say the quantity and quality is worth it if you’re looking for a reliable bulk order of food for your guinea pigs. It might not be the most extravagant brand, but you can’t go wrong with Oxbow pellets. And for first time owners who might not know, if pellets have colorful bits mixed in, it’s usually not an option you should consider buying. Hope this helps anyone who wants to try this out! (Attached is a pic of my 5 year old pig who’s been eating Oxbow for the majority of his life 🙂 )

I love this brand of food and buying in bulk is great for the amount of Guinea pigs I have. My only complaint is that every time I have bought a big bag there have been holes allowing food to spill out. The food is still fresh when I get it but there is no reason for me to have to clean up pellets upon taking it out of the box
