All the birds in my area love it. Sometimes there are 20 birds waiting to get their turn on there. It is messy but i see the birds throwing some down while they are eating. As you can see some our birds dont mind grabing it off the ground. I bought a 10lb bag and it filled this bird feeder 1x all the way to the top. But with so many birds coming to eat it has only lasted about 4-5 days. Ill deff buy it again.

Four some reason Amazon ask me to review the smell and the taste, The texture and the durability. How would I know about the taste? Or the smell? Or the texture? The durability is not relevant because it is and then no longer in my birdfeeder. Good value for money.
The difficulty is that it has many small seeds that fall out of the birdfeeder onto the floor of the porch when I fill the birdfeeder and I hang it up. Somewhat of a mess.

I hung a bird feeder from a tall metal rod in the corner of my yard. I fill the feeder every few days with this food. The feeder has caused a small ecosystem to develop. The birds come and go to the point where they pretty much finish all the food in one day. There is one type of bird with bright red spots on their wings, and they are picky eaters, and swipe much of the food to the ground with their beaks. The squirrels hang out below, waiting for the food to drop. And sometimes their patience wanes, and they attempt a treacherous climb up the feeder rod. I caught one dangling from the edge of the feeder, clinging precariously with their hands to the edge of the feeder, swinging back and forth and knocking the food everywhere, only to flip off when they couldn’t actually reach the feeder with their mouth. Despite all the crazy activity with the food flinging everywhere, when the food is gone, there is literally nothing left. No waste at all. So, everything is eaten.

Good quality mix. Lots of sunflower seeds, even a few peanuts. We lay it out on our porch rails and see cardinals, tufted titmouse, nuthatch, juncos, mourning doves, blue jays, and some visiting woodpeckers. Plenty of squirrels unless our dog is outside ‘on guard’. For birds like finches, robins, American bluebirds, I think you would need another type of food.

I liked the 9+ pound bag. It was the right size feed for smaller birds which was what my feeder caters to. Seemed to be a lot of dust in both bags which transferred onto the inside of the tube feeder. I tried it. Want to have some dried fruit for some of my woodpeckers and other birds who feed at my tube feeder. It was OK for the money but I won’t buy again.

My local birds can pound an entire squirrel buster full in like two days, they’re insane. Also, great that it’s no mess! (Pic has some leftover nyjer seed at the top which they don’t like as much.)
I tried using bird seed that cardinals, blue jays, blackbirds etc would favor, to get less sparrows. It was a fool’s errand—these sparrows will eat their first cousin if they’re hungry. So, I gave in and just give them what they all like the most.
I also haven’t seen squirrels try to get at my feeder yet this year, so take that for what you will. (To be fair, it is fun to watch them get tossed from it!)
Plus, not having the mess under the feeder for my neighbors to silently judge is a bonus!

Excellent bird food. Birds love it and there really is NO mess. No messy black sunflower seeds and corn everywhere. YEAH! Will only buy this one in future.

‘Our’ birds have been very happy. We’re onto our third bag of this seed, and we have seen many different birds at our feeders, many which were repeat visitors during their migrations. With breeding season, we mix this seed with a nesting mix to vary their nutrients. Everything goes! Now we are seeing many babies come as well. It has given us a lot of joy to see them happy and thriving!
Bonus: This stuff smells yummy! 🙂
