I tried this to see if I’d find better mix of seeds the birds prefer. The cheaper mix I tried before satisfied the squirrels much more than the birds. With the previous mix the birds tossed out over 75% of the seed to the ground. Much of that dumped seed germinated into grasses and weeds. This however, was much preferred by the birds. There was much less junk filler, no bugs that I noticed, and the birds it was designed to attract showed up consistently. Now the squirrels still liked this mix as well, but I find the birds coming in larger numbers. It didn’t mold as did the prior mix. Cardinals particularly like this as do a wide variety of finches, sparrows, nuthatches, chickadee, blue buntings and more. This is the mix I’ll continue to use for a while. I may try others just to attract a different type of bird. I’m quite happy with the performance of this mix.

The birds like it! Got this big bag at an awesome Amazon sale price. I love the variety of birds that are drawn to this bird blend. I’ve noticed wood peckers coming around for this blend. If you enjoy songbirds, you will like this blend.

I wish I’d taken a photo, this bag of bird seed is the best! It’s the one I buy, over and over, because it has a TON of black sunflower seeds in it, which the birds are nuts for. Also, not much is wasted with this variety. Our cardinals, blue jays, black capped chickadees, cat birds, and ground doves love this seed. It’s a great deal, for a good amount, and the only complaint is that there are not literally thousands of sunflower seed shells everywhere, hahahah, but they disintegrate, and are easy enough to sweep away.

Purchased 4 bags. For some reason seller did not permit me to purchase any more. Let me just say I do NOT purchase on Amazon like some people do, and resell on eBay! I abhor this practice! I purchase what only I and my family require, so to prevent me from buying more than 4 bags is quite upsetting! This birdseed will feed a multitude of birds I feed here on the Navajo reservation where I live after relocating here many years ago to teach. I purchase bird feeders, wild and hummingbird, plus bird seed and dog food to feed the multitude of stray, abandoned and abused dogs who roam the rez and the many birds who look for food. I provide seed as well as water for these birds as they consume many lbs of seed each month so please do not limit how much I can purchase. This is unjustified and upsetting!
