Plastic was thin and cheep. Edges were a bit sharp and I had to file them down with a nail file on some parts. Rather then that it’s a good price for what you get. The wood stands were sturdy and easy to assemble came with the screws and hand held screw drivers. Or what ever they are called lol.

Basic set up, you’ll have to trim plastic from the lip of the water container. The feeder trays are flimsy and cheap, and the bulb is for reptiles/ amphibians. Not worth $40. If I was not in a time crunch I would have sent it back.

Overall, well worth the price. What we got at the farm supply were too large for a brooder. I am using them now and the chicks are 5 weeks and in their run/hen house.
These hold more than enough food and water for the first 4 weeks.
At first, I took the lid off the feeders. They’re very light so when chicks got to 2 weeks, they kept tipping the feeders over and standing on the tops which led to poop in the food.
The waterer was good but had to raise it or the bedding was always in it. Raising it on blocks of wood made it a tipping hazard when the girls jumped on it. Wet pine shavings smell awful!
The one definite design flaw was getting the base onto the waterer, turning it over, and getting the pebbles in the trough quickly enough. Then, getting it all outside without spilling. The threads didn’t hold well and once I picked up the waterer from the brooder by the tank and the whole thing fell apart! ALWAYS HOLD BY THE TRAY!
The perches have been great! Even if they tip over. The chicks are still liking them.

Feeders work well ,waterer stays together. Heat lamp is good size for our 4 chicks but would work for more.

This isn’t that well made, but relatively inexpensive for what it is. My main issue is the heat lamp. After I turn it off, I’m constantly having to grab the bulb and screw it back into the right.
The perch is mostly useless with quail, and I’d argue, a bit too big for chicks.
The feeder for crumbles (etc.) is relatively cheap but easy to assemble. The waterer is too large in my opinion for chicks unless one adds stones to prevent drowning.

Very easy to use! I used a large cardboard box to make a high-sided “tray” and wrapped the outside of it with a trash bag for waterproofing. Set the assembled panels inside and covered the floor with wood shavings. Put a hardware cloth screen over the top. It works really well and my chicks are doing great!
